On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Negombo. The rest of the day is free to relax after your flight. Negombo’s lagoon and coastal surroundings offer a peaceful introduction to Sri Lanka, with opportunities to spot coastal birds and enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

Safari destination: Wilpattu National Park
After breakfast, proceed north to Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest and one of its most untouched wildlife reserves. The park is famous for its natural lakes known as villus, which attract a wide range of animals.
Afternoon: Jeep safari inside the park
Wildlife sightings may include: Leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife

Travel through Sri Lanka’s forested wildlife corridor
Depart Wilpattu and travel towards the Cultural Triangle region, an important wildlife corridor connecting several national parks. This area is well known for elephant movement and rich forest ecosystems.

Proceed to Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s most renowned wildlife reserve and one of the best locations in the world to spot leopards. The park’s diverse landscapes include forests, lagoons, rocky terrain, and coastal areas.
Evening: Leisure time at the lodge, surrounded by wilderness
Overnight: Yala area
Morning wildlife experience and coastal relaxation
Begin early with a morning jeep safari in Yala, maximizing chances of leopard sightings along with elephants, sloth bears (seasonal), and birdlife. After the safari, travel towards the southern coast, passing scenic wetlands and lagoons.
